Raymond Arroyo

Raymond Arroyo is a distinguished journalist, New York Times Bestselling author, and award-winning producer. He serves as a Fox News Contributor, known for his popular segments on The Ingraham Angle. Arroyo is also the founding News Director, Managing Editor, and Lead Anchor for EWTN News, reaching millions globally. He's covered significant papal events and contributed to CNN’s coverage of the 2013 Conclave.

Known for his insightful interviews, he has conversed with influential figures like Presidents George W. Bush and Donald Trump, Mother Teresa, and Pope Benedict XVI. Before joining EWTN, Arroyo worked for outlets including the Associated Press and The New York Observer. He is a Tisch School of the Arts graduate and has acted and directed in New York and London.

Beyond journalism, Arroyo is a multi-talented producer and host of PBS and Fox Nation musical specials, as well as bestselling audiobooks and children's literature. His work has been featured in major publications such as the Wall Street Journal and Time Magazine. He resides in New Orleans and Washington DC with his family.

The Authentic Leader Award

The Authentic Leader Award was created to encourage our youth, educators, and adults by identifying practical examples of the leaders we are able to build with our our Principled Decision-Making (PDM) Training.

Annie and Scott Powell

We are thrilled to honor Annie and Scott Powell as this year's Authentic Leader Award Recipients. Founders of Camp Wojtyla in 2006, this dynamic duo has combined faith and adventure in an unparalleled way. Nestled in 1,200 acres of Colorado's scenic wilderness, Camp Wojtyla serves as a spiritual haven and adventure ground for young people, embodying the spirited outreach that Saint Pope John Paul II was famous for.

Annie, an expert in Adventure Education, leads the camp with over a decade of experience in outdoor youth programs. Scott, not to be outdone, directs Spiritual Formation at the camp, armed with advanced degrees from the Augustine Institute and Liverpool Hope University, and a passion for teaching scripture.

But it's not just their professional lives that make Scott and Annie stand out. They've faced personal challenges that have shaped their approach to leadership and family. From life-altering health journeys to building their family through adoption, they have explored and experienced some of the most difficult and beautiful aspects of life —finding meaning and purpose within it all. They are parents to three children, some with special needs, and embrace the joy and "messiness" of life with open hearts.

Scott and Annie Powell are not just authentic leaders; they are trailblazers in integrating faith, family, and the great outdoors.
