James W. Keyes
The Authentic Leadership Foundation is proud to honor Jim Keyes with our 2025 Authentic Leader Award, and present him as your keynote speaker.
Jim Keyes is known internationally as a transformative business and social innovator whose career spans leadership at two Fortune 500 companies—7-Eleven and Blockbuster. Today, he chairs Key Development LLC, guiding ventures in technology, aerospace, and education while championing lifelong learning as the key to personal and societal freedom. A best-selling author (Education Is Freedom: The Future Is in Your Hands), Keyes founded the nonprofit Education Is Freedom, which has raised more than $450 million to help students pursue college and career success. A licensed pilot for over 40 years, he is also an accomplished sculptor, painter, and musician. His leadership on numerous civic and academic boards, including Columbia Business School and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, reflects his enduring belief that education, creativity, and compassion are the engines of progress for both individuals and communities.
