Mike Sweeney

Mike Sweeney is a five-time MLB All Star and member of the Kansas City Royals Hall of Fame. After enjoying a 16-year career in Major League Baseball, Mike worked as an analyst on MLB Network. He currently works as a special assistant to the GM with the KC Royals where he was part of a World Series Championship in 2015.

Mike is the founder of the Mike and Shara Sweeney Family Foundation which supports Catholic and Pro-Life ministries. He has also founded the San Diego Saints Baseball Club, a Catholic Travel Baseball Organization, and Catholic Baseball Camps where he "USES THE GREATEST GAME EVER PLAYED TO SHARE THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD."

Mike has taught, challenged and inspired audiences around the world including a meeting with Pope Benedict in November of 2006. Mike, his beautiful bride of 22 years, Shara, and their 6 children are daily mass attendees.
